The construction of various crossed products for C*-algebras goes back to the beginnings of the subject. Rather surprisingly nobody has considered so far so far the study of crossed products on arbitrary operator algebras. In this talk I will explain how this can be done and I will explain how various problems in (both selfadjoint and non-selfadjoint) operator algebra theory are actually problems involving the structure of these crossed products. If time permits I will also present a non-selfadjoint Takai duality.

Ilias Katsoulis博士是美国East Carolina University的教授，毕业于希腊University of Athens，是国际知名算子代数学家。他先后在《Transactions of the AMS》，《Journal of Functional Analysis》、《Memoirs of the American Mathematical Society》、《Mathematische Annalen》、《Advances in Mathematics》等国际著名数学期刊发表论文48篇，应邀做大会报告近80次，担任《Memoirs of the AMS》、《Documenta Mathematica》、《Journal of Functional Analysis》、《Transactions of the American Mathematical Society》、《Journal of Mathematical Analysis & Applications》等10多种数学期刊的审稿人，现为美国《数学评论》的特约评论员。
